Love Type? I don't think so. Like Darkfire said i think, "What would define a Love Type attack?" maybe retype Snorlax as Love Type and give it the move Crush Hug.

I was really placing my bets on Light-Type, simply because Umbreon, the dark-type, was the fourth in the eeveelutions and it would make sense the counterpart would've been the 8th.

That sounds like Love/Dark, and the Dark aspect would do the damage while the Love aspect tricks them, but the Love type itself wouldn't do the damage. Might as well leave those sorta moves Normal Type, as it is NORMAL for creatures to express love.

Would kind of be like the Flying types, I guess. There are no Pure Flying types but the type is there, that's for sure.

If the english translation announced fairy...it's going to permermant the new typing is fairy. We all do respect that some people dislike the fact it's not going to be light. It's still fairy then yeah we just have to accept the fairy is the new typing.
