Okay, let me first state that I know its called "Hacking," but, I really don't like that word. It makes it sound illegal (which it probably is). But I'm not modding a rom to disperse it amongst the internets, I'm just doing it for my own enjoyment, so its all good.
Anyway, I am modding FireRed/LeafGreen for the GBA. I'm basically doing some customizing as far as text/story script (grammar and what not) to be how I think they should be. Really just general cleanup. The thing I am needing help with (if anyone knows) is how to change the text of menu items. For example changing the text that goes to the players info window to read as STATS instead of [PLAYER] name. Or just changing the case of items, like from SAVE to Save, stuff like that. Now, I do have a few modding tools for editing Pokemon roms, map editors, script editors, text editors, and so on. I have spent the last couple of days just playing with them, to familiarize myself with them. So I kinda got the basics. If someone could be so kind enough to help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. Oh, I'm also looking for a way to edit the Help/Intro screens you see when starting a new game. I would like some assistance with this as well. Thanks in advance.
