If the other option is cooking it, I don't think so
that would be very horrible
asking it some questions in a harsh manner(not torture just like police interrogation style) and then giving a lick would likely be disturbing and confusing to the poor thing it is much better than killing and cooking it

I have a strict no-bird policy on my plate.
Dunno what others think about that but I don't eat friends.

Pika doesn't like chicken (or grilled pidgey) but Pika does like playing hide-and-seek under the covers with Pikette.
