I'm not against necro'ing threads (the day I joined I marked all forums as read, now the only way I can found these threads is when someone necro's them), on the other hand, I hate the fact that someone needs to necro a thread in order for it to get locked and archived. Many threads have information that is no longer applicable.

Technically, both masses are equal and thus it would stay balanced.
However, seeing as the dove on the right is focusing its own mass on a more specific point than the dove on the left, it could actually tilt to the right.
This is all assuming both doves are of equal weight and the cages being equal sizes.

I don't think this is how it works, there is only one thing that affects rotation, which is the "Moment" force, that only depends on how far the object is from the center and the weight of that object, seeing that both have equal mass and distance, the thing won't tilt at all.

I suppose you're right.
Seeing as both doves are on/in the cage, the surface area of where the mass presses down on the plank, are equal. Causing no tilting to occur.
