Dev Team

Is there any way to get involved on the development team? I'm a computer science student looking to do some personal development work and thought this would be a cool project to work on. I'm almost completed with my Junior year of college so I've got some solid coursework done. I guess let me know!

Sorry to say, but no one can anymore. I was talking with one of the Moderators and he said no one is getting accepted anymore.

Its not that cut and dry.
It is all based on the whim of nilllzz
However it would take many months of being an active member and also likely making a mod or content pack, etc.
Out of all of the people on the site there are 5 people developing for the game and a total of 9 staff members so.....don't get your hopes too high

Honestly, I fall under both those catergories. I have been on since New Year's Day, literally been on everyday, I currently am making a mod which seems to be attracting a lot of attention.

I know I got lucky In alot of ways...
I caught someones attention because i was identifying and fixing any non engine related bugs/giving good assistance to solve personal issues with saves etc. and got chosen to be a moderator. And then I just started making maps that were needed and suddenly I am doing official stuff. I was doing my mod for over a month when I was made modderator.

Became moderator: 12/2/13
Started making content for main game: V 0.30

the thing to understand is that being a dev team member is a privilege and a responsibility.
It has to be earned.

just because you know code and have been a member forever doesnt instantly grant you the right to dev team.
its not the quantitiy that counts, its the person. does the person know what their doing? does the person understand and contribute to the community? its traits of the person that define if they deserve a spot.

think about that.
