Haha don't get your hopes up. That timer has never been accurate as far as I know.
The update will probably appear like... 1-2 hours after the timer ends.
I've seen people say it'll be a big update. I hope so too, then I can finally start catching new Pokémon! (Caught all available Pokémon at the moment, didn't evolve them yet.)

Surf? Excellent! Opens up a bunch of pokemon, and I can finally get that green Apricorn on Route 35 that taunts me every time I pass.
Hahahah! I've had the same problem! I am quite curious as to how surf will look like.
I also hope the Lapras thing will be implemented. Every Friday, 1 Lapras appears in Union Cave that you can catch.

I am currently just carefully watching, but I haven't heard much about it recently.
I do feel like Linux deserves some more recognition, the fact that Steam/Valve will probably go to Linux seems like a cool thing.
