Double Battle System For Co-op

Me and my friends play this game a lot, though we've noticed that the only feature in Co-op and LAN is that you can see your friend and his Pokemon. It would be really cool if somehow a double - battle feature could be implemented.

You mean 2V2 against double trainers like Ann and Anne? Because that sounds pretty cool. And as unrealistic as it sounds, a battle against Red and Blue, or Red and Lance would be awesome as well.
