Due to some changes shinies will only be the competition imediately after a release and will usually have something to do with the release

Hmm why not put more then 1 shiney at a time? Then people can decide which one to go for and since its going to be weekly now it would make sense to have 2 or 3 instead of 1 each day, And you're right about the Gyarados Lol.

Hehehehe, just prepare yourself a little. Catch Pokémon in advance (Don't lvl em) and try to look for the best place to quickly grind some xp. Good luck.

Well, that's just because I wanted to catch them all for my Pokédex. But they came in handy for these competitions. I evolved a lot of them, so I might not have the same advantage as always.

Differs per Pokémon. reason I said not to lvl them.

The daily portion will continue
just the pokemon will be more generic but have perfect IVs a good nature and a purpose chosen ability.
The biggest thing bout this competition is it gives you pokemon that with some training will be perfect for battle
and they are all female (If they can be) and as such are good breeding stock
