Breeding with ditto doesnt work? [0.30]

Ok, so to take advantage of the new trading system, I wanted to breed my starter to get the other two starters. I caught a ditto and put it in the daycare with my croconaw.

It says they arent getting along, but in the games ditto can breed with every pokemon that can breed.



Relevant info:
I have had my starter since version 0.23. It evolved in version 0.27. The only editing I have done to it is changing its ability from overgrow to torrent (the ability it is supposed to have).
I caught the ditto a few minutes ago in version 0.30

Hi Exemplary, here there's a discussion about that. The bug should be fixed but someone still having problems with Ditto (me, for example)! However breeding within other species it's possible, unluckily the starters are always males (I think) and the female pokémon seems to be the one who determines the species... They're supposition but I hope I've helped somehow!

The starters are 87.5% male rate, so there is a 12.5% chance that the starter is a female

I've managed in the past in pokemon games (the later ones I believe) to breed ditto with starters or pokemon of either gender. Someone correct me if that's wrong but that's what I remember.

Mattyjames, the fact is: somebody is having problems trying to make (?) Ditto breed with other pokémon both males or females (e.g. Ditto + Spinarak F or M = no egg). On the other hand, I've experienced that in breeding within different species but same "Egg group" (link to Darkfire's clarification) it's the female's species that determines the egg's future species (e.g. Spinarak F + Zubat M = Spinarak). So, as Enethil explained that the majority of us has a male starter, we won't be able to have a little Chikorita/Cyndaquil/Totodile until the Ditto issue will be fixed. If something's wrong, please reply!

I got the same problem, I can't breed with ditto (only tried with my male starter pokemon). I hope they will fix this soon so you can breed male pokemon + Ditto. I also hope Eevee also gets added very soon
