But what is the actual reasoning behind hating it then?

it's like taking kyogre. and making an evolution from it.

taking lugia and giving it an evolution.

and if its not its just a new form. You didnt have people complaining about Shaymin or Garatina getting new forms. Or the Rotoms.

Just because Mewtwo is a classic Ledgendary doesnt mean he cant be touched.

giratinas other form loses its legs. but its still the giratina body, deoxys changes forms, but only bulkier, pointer, or skinnier.

this however is beyond the boundries of a form change. the tail becomes part of the head. there is a halo-like thing going on with his ears, the eyes have changed, there is no noted mouth. and the body itself is a complete change.

It's more probable of an evolution than a form change. because form changes are subtle whereas evolutions are drastic.

and it's not because MewTwo is a gen 1 pokemon. it's because it's a Legendary.

again i have no problem with new pokemon, i actually look forward to this new gen (froakie is a badass)

Basing off that logic:
The new form just makes the Horns on Mewtwo sharper, adds an arc to his head and shifts the tail to his head. Nothing huge, or ground breaking to make it an evolution.

what i'm saying is after 20 years+ of pokemon and having legendaries.

it goes against everything to change one of the fundamentals of pokemon rosters.

there are a lot of things you can change about pokemon. and they are all great things.

but you dont, mess, with, legendaries

Then its something we all have to deal with. I personally hate the usage of any legendary. The ideas and concepts are great. Including this one. Remember that mewtwo is a man made pokemon. So if it is an Evolution its only to make its powers greater, (and with the new movie coming out, its logical that Mewtwo would need to have an upgrade in strength to take out a shitload of Genesects.)

Nintendo has never evolved legendaries and i doubt they will start

as long as mewtwo doesn't evolve into it?

I agree that i don't want to legends EVOLVE also personally I would prefer that this is a new pokemon and not just another form
but as long as it doesn't evolve i am fine with it
