I am missing the gym leader in Ecruteak city.

If he's not in the gym you first gotta visit the burned tower and wake up suicune and it's bud's.

Issue of the crashing game when talking to the redhead douche: nope. I already powned him in the last update when the crash wasn't there yet.
Issue of the black block on the burned tower: yes, and I have absolutely NO freaking idea how it came there. I'm not using a taxture pack btw. But it isn't really a problem and others do not have this so don't bother trying to fix it for me. I can live with the block

I can only fight the very first person when I walk into the gym in Ecruteak. If I try to walk any further into the gym, I get sort of teleported back to the area between the two statues in the front of the gym. The floor is just a large black square. I can't figure out what to do to fix this. I've looked everywhere I can to find a solution to this. Is this supposed to be happening?

Lol yes. In the actual games, this happens. It is a maze. Just try to feel your way around, or google image "Crystal Ecruteak Gym Map"

talk to the trainer you just beat he might help you

Yes. It's a maze, and quite simple actually. You just gotta find out how to walk. I'm not telling you though
