Solved How do I Trigger the Sudowoodo Event?

I have defeated Bugsy (isdatcorrectspellinidunevanno) and obtained HM 01 CUT, and instantly followed back to Route 36 (?) to activate the Sudowoodo event. When I "talked" to the Sudowoodo, it said "It's a strange looking tree" or somethin' like that.
How do I activate the battle?

You need to beat Whitney(3rd gym) in Goldenrod and then get the squirt bottle next door to the gym.
Then you can go north to Route 36 and use the squirt bottle on the Sudowoodo to battle it.
