I thought this was in already but i could be wrong anyways IF it is in...
I Didn't get it i've been to mr.pokemon and back to mom but she didnt give me pokegear?
anything i missed or am i just being stupid?

It does not work in my game, even though I checked the controls & Q is Pokegear. Not that it matters much since it does not do much now anyway.

The pokegear is useful because it allows you to see the map from above. (its under the phone option)

This helps you see things from the original game that might be hidden due to the perspective change.

Found a solution.
Open the player.dat file.
Find the line that looks like this:
HasPokegear|0
Change it to this:
HasPokegear|1
Then press Q.
It doesn't do much, but its still under progress
