sorry, i think i worded it wrong. what i should have said is that it looks like onix is floating(not so clear in the first pic)Yes, it does. With Pokemon like Steelix, Onix, Gyrados and other large Pokemon, Nilz had to put them to a certain scale so it didn't seem like they were the same size as other Pokemon like Charizard or something.
steelix doesn't float. it isn't supposed to. it's just a giant and heavy metal snake that lives under the ground, so it doesn't need to float. it doesn't even learn magnet rise.Steelix normally does float, that's how it mainly gets around. It's heavy body would normally keep it on the ground, but because of (I think) polar magnetism and other anti-gravity related things, it can float.
Yeah, IV's affect the Pokemon size, but that is ridiculous XDsteelix doesn't float. it isn't supposed to. it's just a giant and heavy metal snake that lives under the ground, so it doesn't need to float. it doesn't even learn magnet rise.Steelix normally does float, that's how it mainly gets around. And about that, it's just an animation error but it's still pretty weird, considering its enormous size that leaves its head out of the screen and makes it float far away from where the pokemon appear in battle.
the problem is not the size or the IVs. actually i think is pretty cool that pokemon with different IVs have different sizes, it just makes some kind of sense and is pretty cool. also is cool that "real life" big pokemon look big in battle. the problem i see is the position of the sprite. it just seems a little off. if it were a little down you could appreciate seelix's enormity.Yeah, IV's affect the Pokemon size, but that is ridiculous XDsteelix doesn't float. it isn't supposed to. it's just a giant and heavy metal snake that lives under the ground, so it doesn't need to float. it doesn't even learn magnet rise.

Probably not the IV's though. Nils scaling could be off.
I agree with the IV's me saying "That is ridiculous" was referring to, if Steelix was in fact affected that much by them.the problem is not the size or the IVs. actually i think is pretty cool that pokemon with different IVs have different sizes, it just makes some kind of sense and is pretty cool. also is cool that "real life" big pokemon look big in battle. the problem i see is the position of the sprite. it just seems a little off. if it were a little down you could appreciate seelix's enormity.
i think the new IV-related-size didn't take into consideration pokemon with perfect IVs(hacked, more likely). also, why serpentine pokemon always appear as if they were floating?I agree with the IV's me saying "That is ridiculous" was referring to, if Steelix was in fact affected that much by them.the problem is not the size or the IVs. actually i think is pretty cool that pokemon with different IVs have different sizes, it just makes some kind of sense and is pretty cool. also is cool that "real life" big pokemon look big in battle. the problem i see is the position of the sprite. it just seems a little off. if it were a little down you could appreciate seelix's enormity.
But I think that we should zoom out a bit when the battle is going on. If I was a trainer, I don't think I'd stand that close to scorching flame, violently thrown rocks, freezing ice rays, etc.![]()
Haha that Typhlosion just looks ridiculous.
