Hello, whenever I start the a new game, I make it about to where the Lapras swims by, sometimes Jigglypuff, and the game will crash. I don't understand what "Getdeviceremovedreason" is or why it's coming up. Tried to look it up and fix it but it still doesn't work.

Yeah I get the same thing, the actual error is DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED, which means that for some reason the GPU's driver is disconnecting for some reason, at least that's what I've managed to figure out from looking it up. From what I've read though, this is an issue with DirectX and not the game itself, so it's not likely that a bug fix could fix this issue. Getdeviceremovedreason is a command you'd use while debugging to find out the reason for why the issue occured, normal users can't use the command.

Edit: I've figured out how to fix the problem. Just follow the steps in this youtube video:
Though a couple of times after doing the steps detailed in the video, the game locked my computer up when it got to the intro rather than crashing the game. But, the third time I tried, I had the task manager up so I could quickly close the game before it froze my computer, but instead it made it past the intro and to the Professor Oak introduction. Also, after doing the steps, I noticed that the background at the main menu is different, as in it is displaying correctly as I remember before hand that the background only showed light blue with Lugia swimming toward the top, but this time it shows it how it should normally look compared to the Pokemon Silver title screen.
