How Do I play PVP!!?

Hey Guys! I am a newbie to this game but I know a lot of Pokemon. I am confused how to add my friends in my game. Any help?

If you and your friends are playing online with a GameJolt account, they should show up in the PSS in the passerby page if they are on the same server as you, then you can add them as a friend ingame and/or battle them pvp
