I'm pretty sure you can get running shoes in Cherrygrove city after you talk to that old man next to the PokeCenter, will it be added later on? Cuz I'm in desperate need to get places faster

Running shoes was introduced in gen 3, but only because the characters was walking slower in those games I think.

Well, I'm glad they added running gear. These games would take at least twice as long to play without running gear, and most of it would be spent getting from place to place. Definitely wouldn't be the same game today without those shoes.

And bikes, bikes are very important too.

I never played with running gear (only with the 1st generation stuff) so I can't really tell you anything about if the game is better or worst with them.

I am kinda glad there is no running shoes in this game only because it sorta would ruin the memories I had from Silver and Gold. However I do love the fact I get to have a pokemon follow me like in yellow.
