Solved Playing it without needing internet

I am flying to Cali and want to play the game on the plane. Is there a way I can play the game without having to download the patch all the time? Like other games where you just click on the icon from the desktop and start playing it without the need of internet. and yes, I am new at this game =]

I can play the game normally without internet connection. After download the launcher and the game, you don't need internet to play.

The above is correct, there is no DRM which will cause you to have an Internet connection. It's only for downloading patches and if you don't have connection then it won't detect that there is a patch

Thanks a ton! One more question, can you pick to play silver or gold or is it just both? because in some videos, I am not able to find a weedle and caterpi.

It's currently just one game. You can find Weedle and Caterpie and Metapod and Kakuna if you wish.
