It was a good idea but doesn't work. It still covers the edge.
I tested with different values for Y:
At -0.5 it covers the entire entity.
At -0.51 it covers nothing.

I also want to point out that a shader will cover anything below it. I placed a shader at Y=10 over a patch of water in bark town, the water was shaded.
maybe shaders need to be attached to a volume, no engine support for that but it seems like it'd let you do what you want to do

thanks! btw is there a list of the textures for the pokeditor? i mean your telling the program the coordinates of the textures in a large pic, so is there a picture where I can see all the avaiable textures and their coordinates?

If u want to use custom textures or existing textures u need to have them inside the Pokemon3D\Pokemon\Content\Textures folder.

The game textures are in XNB format so u would have to export the existing XNB to a normal image first before u can check out the textures that are used in existing maps.

Likewise if u want to use custom textures in the game for your map you would have to convert your image to XNB format with "XNA Formatter".

Check the Tools thread for the download links.

Once u have the textures in the correct folder u need to open up the image you are using for your map i use paint.net

paint.png

Those are the numbers you are going to need to enter in here inside the editor

And to get the option to enter the textures follow these steps:
