Rejected Ability to change avatar whenever

This is a quest idea

It would be nice if we could change our avatar whenever we felt like it.

This is how it would work:

1. Complete the first gym battle
2. After finishing you exit the gym to have a long conversation with a clothes desiegner
3. He/she gives you an item that captures a photo of whatever trainer you want to look like
4. You stop by his/her place in Goldenrod city and give them the photo
5. Viola! You now can look like whomever you want to

So.,..would it capture images of any trainer you battle? Or would it be an option to choose from the starting choices as well (all region trainer sprites from new game choices)?
I like the idea, and the quest option would be cool too. I think Game Freak's implementing a clothing option into XY actually, so this would be kinda nice
You could even add support for custom trainer sprites - put them in a folder and you could access them from the menu as well...

I was thinking that you talk to them again after your battle and you ask if you can take a picture of them or with them. You then show it to the clothes designer and he/she makes a set for you. It would be a neat addition to have a create your own look type of thing too.

Maybe instead of having to defeat the first gym, you can just go to a closet located in your bedroom and when you select it you will be able to change or even customize your avatar.

The closet idea's nice, but it'd involve flots of backtracking till you can Fly. I like the goldenrod city store idea - alternatively you can add a npc to the pokecentres that you talk to to change clothing.

Guess what: This feature is actually planned. Along with actual gender implementation (you are male atm for whatever sprite you choose). It gets important when you are distinguish yourself as Rocket member and go into the secret hideout. It'll be implemented until then, but I don't know when.

lol sweet. Will it be introduced as a side quest or will it be something your mom tells you about when the gear is up?
