Evolving Kadabra

Okay so I'm trying to evolve Kadabra, yet every time I put in Alakazam's code he disappears from my party.

I guess you could say he used teleport!

so question, if i keep my game at 0.31.1 and sayyyyy evolve my growlithe to arcanine with it's appropriate stats, all the while, doing the thing that allows us to cheat the system for now(i won't mention the specifics here), would i be able to update to 0.32 without consequence?

*this is because i know evolution stones wont be implemented for a while*

Okay that sounds waaaaay better. I tried trading with a friend last night, and it didn't work so I was confused. But that sounds fine. I can wait.

like the numbers are like this : [65][0] so do i change it to [65][1]???

If you change the 0 to 1, that will change it's gender, Kadabra is No.65 in the national Pokedex, so Alakazam is No.66, therefore changing it to 66 will get you a Alakazam.
