Get a little confused for the game

Greetings everyone,
So I'm new to the game and I played it in the version indev 0.53.3 (I don't remember when I downloaded this).
Well, what happened is when I was checking the update, I downloaded the latest version (indev 0.54.1), and I found the difference in the startup screen of the game (from kolben games to mono games) and in the start screen of the game in the bottom left of the screen also changed (from kolben games to P3D). Well I understand that there were some discontinued work and something with the handover, but when I tried the latest version of the game, it simply lag from the first start screen of the game (where there is menu like new game, resume game, etc), which is didn't happen when I was on the earlier version (indev 0.53.3). From what I read in the forum, people only lag when they got into the game (I have a AMD A8 and a R5 Graphic Cards). And I also saw in some of the threads that there is the XNA version of the game and the mono one, so i just a little bit confused to apply which resources I can download. Can actually someone help and explain me with these? And a suggestion of resources that will improve the in-game experience would also help.
Thanks :)

The change in the startup visuals was intentional.

Are you sure you have OpenAL and .NET Framework installed properly? They're requirements for playing the official MonoGame version. If you are experiencing lag, try turning down some of the in-game options (such as offset map quality to zero, render distance to tiny, graphics to fast, etc).
If you are still experiencing undesired performance, you should try the XNA version. This is the spoiler that can be found in the latest News post that details this version:
For the most part, the MonoGame version is the ideal one to use. However, we must also address the minority who have issues with this version, some of the issues possible include but are not limited to:

- your video card doesn't support the version provided by the launcher
- you have problems with some models on the game
- get unacceptably low FPS under some situations

If you are experiencing any of these problems, try the XNA version of the game (The XNAPokemon.zip file), just be careful since we do not usually recommend this in any other situation: https://github.com/P3D-Legacy/P3D-Legacy/releases/tag/0.54.1, you will also need XNA Framework 4.0 to run the game in this format: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=20914.

We ask you that you provide any feedback that would help us with fixing these issues in the future. If you wish to report an issue with the XNA version of the game, please report it here: http://pokemon3d.net/forum/forums/6/ and add [XNA] to your thread title.
