According to The Daily Hotness on Tumblr:

Ninfia or Nympheon is the first of two Eevee evolutions to be introduced in Pokemon X and Y. Much like Umbreon in Gen II was one of the first known Dark type pokemon, Nympheon of Gen VI is one of the first Light type pokemon. Much like the Dark, Pyschic, Fighting and the Grass, Water, Fire trinities, Light pokemon complete a trinity with Dragon and Steel types. As when Magnemite and Magneton retroactively had Steel added to their types, most of the Fairy egg group will have Light added as a secondary type, such as Chansey, Audino, and Clefairy.
Thanks to Tinsares for digging into the official pokemon X and Y website source code for this.

I am not sure I believe that
but if it is true the what evs.....
so dragon is going to be good against it and it is going to be good against steel?
also does that mean steel types will now be good against dragons

Looks like Alessa was right on the money haha. To think that they actually decided to add a new type, I wasn't quite expecting that. I wonder what that other new evolution for Eevee is:p

Darkfire It does Seem like an odd combo (then again it is pokemon).

Also, that post was later edited to say:
EDIT 2: Tinsares says the site was updated and the code was taken out. Sorry, guys!
So take it how you will. Although, adding a light type seems logical.

I sincerely hope that this is false
the more I think about it the less I want a new type
especially if it is the light type
this is personal opinion and I have nothing really to back my statement but........

I have always thought of psychic as dark's opposite and light type just doesn't seem to fit
maybe making normal types have a type its good against would be good
also even if you want it don't get to excited this is the sort of thing that swirls around every pokemon generation prerelease
last time bouffalant was "revealed" to be the evolution of tauros and we all know how that turned out
trust nothing that you cannot find on the pokemon website(without "digging into the code") or comes from corocoro
even with corocoro be sceptical because the scans can be easily be faked(and have been before)

Reflecting on the potentially new 'Light' type, makes me think of how Pokemon has gone from Rock paper scissors! to:

Sometimes one can miss the "simple days".
