Cheat engine hacking

Basically, in single player or co-op you can change the values of anything you want. I had a lv 44 quilava after my first battle, with 999999 monies.

It is currently like that to allow you to do what ever you want in the game
when the game is finnished it will be locked (atleast that's what nillzz has been saying)

Yeah, this is more of a technical limitation at the moment, because the game's not finished.

you don't need cheat-engine for this - just an editor is enough and you can change MUCH more ^^

I honestly thought he did mean just opening up a .dat file in Notepad and changing the values... Cheat Engine is way more effort than you need to cheat right now.

I would like a system like in Torchlight: cheating allowed and even multiplayer with cheating, but when you cheated something you're flagged as a cheater in multiplayer...

If the game ever does get locked down, then this would be another way of hacking the game. Also people could start to create trainers for the game with hex values if they find what writes to it and everything.

From what I understand, they're letting people do this through content packs/mods

I know, but eventually staff and users have been pointing out that nillzz will be locking down the game. Only to allow content packs and mods. But this would mean locking down the saves for the users is what i meant.. But people could still use trainers/cheat engine and other software to modify their account while in the game.

also it's not like the whole community already knows how to do this.

and my personal opinion:
woo boy you have a lvl 100 typhlosion with op stats, and oh boy you look like trainer joey! are you shorts comfy and easy to wear? is your rattata in the top percentage?

now what? you're just gonna run through the whole pokemon game in a matter of hours and suck every drop of fun out of the game, because there's no effort needed?

guys, gamesharks existed in the Gameboy Color generation, so we were always gifted with the ability to cheat.
the reason why we don't cheat is because it ruins the point of pokemon. It's not fun if there's no work to do. no pokemon to train, etc.

I agree, It is one thing to give yourself the pokemon you want & giving you a different skin, but making your pokemon lvl 100+ & 999 in every stat & IV is something which I believe this community can make without.

I've never been one to be able to cheat with computer games like this, but I would like to know how to get a Mew. I'll do everything else naturally; I just want a Mew. Anybody care to help?

Just edit your party.dat in your offline save.
