Arcanine or Typhlosion?

Trying to decide if i should put my Quilava aside and pick up a growlithe...

What do you guys think?

Typhlosion has higher special attack, sp.def and speed. Also he wields an incredible stab move: Eruption. If Ev trained for HP, he is an awesome edition to any team.
Arcanine sports better HP, attack, and slightly better defense. His move set is more limited (barely).
It all comes down to the rest of your team, or personal preference.
Typhlosion would be able to take water moves slightly better, considering their special nature.
Arcanine provides better support from rock and ground because of his superior defense (+2...)
Considering the difference in HP, 78/90 in favor of Arcanine, it might make a difference.
Personally, the only stats I see that Arcanine has the upper hand on is HP and ATK.
Typhlosion wields a much better moveset in my opinion. His Eruption can potentially devour a team if he is EV trained for SP.ATK and HP.
He also look cooler (though not by much).

Hmmm. Considering your ATK/SP.ATK mixture, that is definitely user preference.
But that is only on an ATK/SP.ATK point of view.

Arcanine by far. Not only has it got better variations of attacks, but also better stats for what I need the fire type for. Also, it is far superior looking than Typhlosion.
