Connection Problems (Hamachi)

Hello there! I was just wondering how to fix connection problems. My port for my laptop used to be open, but it closed so I started using Hamachi. Hamachi works a bit, then after 10 min or so, it disconnects with the other players I'm currently playing with. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks in advance!

P.S. I'm playing Pokemon with my brother whose laptop is right next to mine, is there an easier way to connect with each other?

you should be able to connect to people on your LAN with no port forwards or tunneling, NAT traversal is only a problem for internet coop. use your internal IP address
