ok... i made it to goldenrod but i cant enter so here is what i have so far...

hidden items are not in the locations they should be

ruins of alph does nothing at all

levels and experience is off (some level faster than others)

starter cyndaquil evolution is wrong (level 16 not 14)

no pokegear

no egg after beating faulkner

super potion price incorrect (500 not 700 i believe)

pokemon catching is set wrong (pokemon are too hard to catch)

gym leaders pokemon at the wrong level

the frequency of pokemon appearing in ilex forest is set WAY too high

some moves miss WAY too much

rival's pokemon set at the wrong levels and not all of pokemon are there

pokedex entry does not come up after catching a pokemon

vulpix i believe is missing from union cave

lower level to union cave unaccessible

old rod not in the pokemon center before union cave like it should be

escape rope is not in sprout tower like it should be (top level in the right hand corner by the elder sage)


now for my suggestions:

better graphics, 3rd person view a little further back, sprites in 3d, and customizable controls


now i realize that alot of time and programming went into it..... but it looks like someone took pokemon gold and silver and mixed it with a weird minecraft and game it better pokemon sprites.... now i am a HUGE fan of gen 1- 3 and i would love nothing better to see this game kick ass and take names because it would be everything pokemon SHOULD be!!!


also.... theres no PC in the daycare and the old lady isnt in the daycare when they should be

gate from ilex forest to goldenrod should have a woman with a butterfree next to her that gives sweet scent TM

headbutted trees missing animation

cant access personal item PC

another suggestion is to make it to where your character's movement isnt so "gameboy"ish

just pointing out problems.... would like to see the game be the best it can be... if no one complained then how can the dev team know what to fix?

alot of these just havent been developed/implemented yet(remember this game is indev its not even to the beta stage yet)
specifically 1, 2, 4, 5 ,6, 15, 16 have been under development and will be included eventually
however-Nillzz has said many times that he will not be "improving" the graphics
that is up to mod/texture pack developers to do(many people are working on improving them so don't worry)
also while this game is for nostalgia purposes nillzz is not making the game exactly
he is pulling elements from gold, silver, crystal, heart gold, AND soul silver to make this game so this won't match any one game it will pull the best of them all(and some modifications that he feels will make the game better)

also making multiple posts like you did looks kinda sloppy
you could edit your first post to include anything you find that you think should go into it :)

cyndiquil evolves at level 14, i'm literally looking at their data file right now

most of this stuff is either not in or straight up inaccurate

also daniels getting a bit sick of rule breaking, i'm not going to ban you, but we don't need half a page of the same dudes posts, use the edit feature :\

yes, we specifically added the cosmetic mods/content packs so people who don't want 16x16 textures don't have to deal with it. i am working hard on More Graphics but people have to understand that the way it looks is a personal choice made by nils, and no one is going to change that. the base game is always going to remind people of a minecraft mod or whatever

well what im just trying to point out things that i see that should be worked on.... ive played the GBC games (G/S/C) and if my memory serves me right (which it does generally) cyndaquil like all other starters and most 3-tier evolutions evolves at 16 and either 32 or 36... now as far as the graphics request i can understand his desire to keep it as original as possible.... and i apologize for the multiple posts i was simply going through the game thus far and picking out what i thought were problems.... i just wanna see this game be the best it can be because i loved the 2nd gen games and blending every game that was made for gen 2 would be awesome.... but for me accuracy is huge...

its ok, but please check the wikis before you say stuff like that. i've been caught out on it too. i pretty much have 5 bulbapedia tabs open every time i make any statement on pokemon mechanics now because its so hard to remember it all hahaha

anyway, don't worry so much about how the base game is etc, the game is really, really unfinished. consider the whole thing under construction, but nils is letting you see the whole process in action.

however, not every suggestion is going to get in, and i'm not saying yours are especially hard, but we want to accomodate peoples tastes too. because this is a pc game we're opening parts of the game up to modders. we have already done this for people who wish to replace the textures, sprites, music and so on. people are making full total conversion mods as we speak, more support for them is coming too. we want it to be that if you aren't 100% happy with pokemon 3d, the engine will happily let you run mods that fix your specific issues

something i can be more specific about though is the movement. i used to be a pretty big advocate for free movement but i don't think this game will ever have it. we are looking to make some concessions to this 3d environment though, in fact, you can try a half working version of it right now. in your save game's Player.dat file you can find
DiagonalMovement|0
change that 0 to a 1 and you have diagonal movement. its glitchy though, use at your own risk.

it allows you to move diagonally, you may find with 8 way movement things don't feel quite so constrained.

Well the suggestions I had really aren't TOO important... most of what I meant is a slightly higher resolution... but I do like the game thus far... I'm just very detail oriented and with pokemon its worse... I honestly hate what the pokemon corp has done to pokemon since gen 3.... and this game is probably the best thing I've seen close to an idea I've had... also the idea of allowing others to make mods isn't a bad idea either but might I suggest intergating them in an options menu? Would make it easier to apply and access

yep, we're going to do that. takes time to polish it all but we're not leaving the game unfinished :)

Can wait til the bugs are worked out in the diagonal movement... oh and I found a couple bugs.... when my pokemone faint from the effect of selfdestruct (wild pineco used) my pokemon was able to 1-hit KO before fainting and gives the experience to the next pokemon I choose. Also I don't know if it was planned but my headbutt tm seems to act more of an HM

tms dont break on easy difficulty. on medium and hard they break

My mud-slap tm broke but not headbutt... I haven't tried fury cutter because I wanted to wait til I caught scyther


also.... maybe a run function would be interesting to use
