Multiplayer questions

How's it going
just have a few questions on the multiplayer
I found out my I.P my friend tried to join using this I.P but couldn't. Can anyone explain why this wouldn't have worked?
How many can play together at one time
what does multiplayer do for you? can you explore together/ battle together etc

All you can do in Multiplayer so far is talk. You can't battle (each other or teamup vs npc) or trade. It's being worked on, as far as I know.
The IP problem could be due to you guys not using hamachi. Last I knew, multiplayer was LAN only (need to be in same house/using same net connection). Hamachi sets up a connection both you and a friend can join, thus allowing internet multiplayer. Lastly, a max of 2 people can join at present (working on 4). Hope this helps

I haven't played online before myself. It was just knowledge I'd gathered on the forums. Seems's it was a bit wrong/outdated?
