Pokegear, Chat Function, Trading Function

I've noticed that some NPCs still mention Pokegear, and I wondered if it was being worked on and implemented in the game any time soon. After taking a look at the list of approved/considered/rejected suggestions and not seeing anything related to it, I decided to propose my idea here.

When and if the Pokegear is implemented, add a card to said Pokegear to allow players a chat function similar to what is seen in Minecraft. But, make the player in question work at earning that card. I would suggest Goldenrod for it, as that's also where you get the radio card, no?

Atop that, seeing as how trading and the likes WILL be implemented into the game, I suggest that there should also be a Trading card for use in the Pokegear. This way, no one can simply cheat via one or two computers to get all the starters, and all players have an equal gaming experience up to that point.

Personally, I would place the Trading Card a little further down the line. Perhaps on the island where the.. sixth gym is? I forget, but it's the one where you get Fly.

An equal gaming experience, chat functions, decent single-player AND multi-player experience.

Again, that's all provided that the Pokegear is being added.

The Poke-gear was in the game at some point in time, but was removed due to bugs, these are definitely good ideas, and I'd love for them to be in the final game.

we can't do cross game chat without a back end, which we don't have yet

trading and battling with people in the same coop game as you is planned. you can chat in there too, with the 't' key.

pokegear is coming but its mostly for the phone and radio. no concrete plans on putting other things into it.

putting basic features so far into the game seems kinda inconvenient really

Not entirely what I meant, but alright. I was more focused on the idea of having players get some play time in before earning the trading function. I was unaware of the ability to chat already being implemented.
