Game starting glitch

Whenever i start the game, it wont launch. i downloaded the game earlier today, and played for about 20 mins then i had to go do some stuff. I hop back on to play and i hit start and the launcher comes up and i hit start game. It does not load. i try this multiple times and shutting off my computer and logging back on. This still doesn't work. i am re downloading the game right now to see if it works. I will try to say again if it does work but im not sure if it will.

Have you modified the game in any way? If you add an extra empty line in any of the codes, it doesn't launch.

Interesting, so it just doesn't boot after you press start game? That means that it's probably crashing. Has anyone used the computer since last time you played?

As long as both the launcher and game have been downloaded, i don't think the launcher itself is the problem and you don't need to access the server to actually play the game.

Gunner Smith, try checking your pokemon folder and see if you have a log file. If so, the contents of the file might explain what is going on.

are there any errors coming up? especially if they tell you to look at a log file. if you have log files post them here.

is the launcher in a folder you have full privilages in? if not move it to my documents or something. do you have a /pokemon/ folder in the same folder as your launcher? the exe you download to play the game isn't the game itself, it downloads the game and starts it.

i just downloaded the launcher again to see if that works or if i just used the wrong one. I may just have downloaded the launcher right before the new one came out and didnt realize it. I will tell you if this works when it is done downloading

Try to make sure all of the files are in the Pokemon folder within the Launcher folder. Mostly look for Pokemon.exe within the Pokemon folder. There's a few things that could have caused it: Launcher not able to launch it, Files missing, or game crashing. You should try going to the log file. Goto and open (Launcher folder)\Pokemon\log.dat with Notepad, copy, and paste it here.
