Really lucky or just game?

Am I just the luckiest person to play this game, because the first Pokemon I encountered in Dark Cave is a Shiny Zubat, which I was able to catch. Is it easier to find Shinys in this or are they still as rare?

Ya they rare. I haven't ran into any yet and i dont think i ever will.
You real lucky if u ran into your first go in cave.

I didn't know that there are already shiny Pokemon in the game - i thought the only way to get one is through cheating atm (read it in another thread where someone asked if they are already implemented)

Ya shiny are in game but how common they are seems to be random. Some always find shiny's and others like me then cant find any. Maybe im just not lucky.
