Hi. Just wanted to toss an idea for a shared PC box between save files. Here's how to make it not-OP:
-Up to ~10 pokemon can be put in the box and shared among all save files.
-However, the slot it was put in is now locked. This means that the spot is unusable until the pokemon is put back in the box and the original owner takes is out.
-Think of it this way: you have a fish, and there is a lake that if you put the fish in, it can swim freely in it. But the lake has a limited capacity and you must take your fish out before more fish can go in.
-Pokemon with HM's cannot be taken out by people that haven't unlocked them yet via badges and/or obtaining them, and pokemon with high levels can only be removed if the player has progressed through the gyms at certain intervals (or have it work under the "does not obey" system with traded pokemon).
This also has a potential for online players. Say you can create X other shared boxes (more unlocked via story) with a group of no more than Y people (X and Y are variables). The same limitations apply, but you can only have one shared box with another individual. In other words, Alice and Bob can share a box with Carl, but Alice, Bob, and Carl cannot be in another shared box group together. I'm not sure how it would work to "unsubscribe" to a shared box. You can't force the pokemon back to the owner, nor can you let the other person have it. It would have to find its way back after a time limit (3 days?) or whenever the person who has it quits their game/reconnects to the network.
In addition, since the pokemon are never traded they aren't really yours. So this could mean a new category in addition to "seen" and "caught". Maybe not though. I was thinking something like "used" with a better connotation, like "rented".
Your thoughts? Think about the way trading works before you do please. I feel like this way the owner has more control, but it could still be abused. [/end long post]
