Thinking ahead about Hoenn, suggestion.

With Kanto mostly functionnal, the Sevii islands almost completely implemented and Mt. Silver coming afterward, Hoenn is almost right around the corner if I'm not mistaken.

But after thinking about it, if P3D goes on like this, the rest of the game will be all about skipping entire battles and gym with a team of overpowered level 100 pokemons just beating everyone, it removes the difficulty and the fun out of it, and since the game has its own limitations, it's impossible to get over level 100 and keep going undefinetly, so that option is out of the realm of possibilities.

So I came up with this idea; why not adding an event during the transition kanto/johto > hoenn, in which you would lose access to that continent's box (through convenient plot justification, like I'unno, fauna preservation or something), and get your pokemons removed (temporarily), then get a new starter at level 5 with the objective to progress like you would naturally in the original game if you started in those regions.

The idea would basically be removing the entire team of the player, as well as its box, and give him or her a new starter and new set of boxes, as well as making them unable to access previously acquired pokemons unless they get back to a previous region, or beat the league in the actual region he's in?

This discussion has been had numerous times before, what I can assure you is that the dev team has a general idea of what will happen after kanto/johto is completed and how hoenn would be introduced to the game (that is if it ever does), also keep in mind that the kolben gamemode recreates the second generation of the game which already had both regions included, that doesn't necessarily mean that hoenn is going to be connected with the story of the first 2 regions.

I actually don't want they rush to Hoenn after just finishing Kanto, because I want they add possibility choose: first region, second region, third region, fourth region, fifth region and sixth region with story. So I don't mind wait for new regions longer to get best Pokemon game ever and on PC.:p:)

I just want to tell you that this is not going to happen as a part of the default gamemode, if it ever does happen, it would be as a separate gamemode developed by someone other than the development team (or darkfire if he ever decided not to oversleep on satudays and actually do some work and update the pi-monthly game development post)

I know that, but I just saying how I would want to everything to go. For GM I believe jianmingyong may do something like that, but I not sure 100%. Yeah, Darkfire is lazy as ever.:p:D

I do not want to headbutt with dev team but, there is not much to do after completing the game (If the dev team completes it any time soon) except collecting pokes, the moment i manage to collect all the obtainable pokemons i will just run out of things to do (Since i do not PvP on pokemon games) also adding new regions would be a good way to implement the rest of the pokes and legendaries since there would be more space to do it and also places to obtain the mega stones (adding all the pokemons in Kanto/Johto plus mega stones seems almost nigh impossible) it would also be intresting to see how much that engine that you guys are using can withstand (seriously if you reproduce the flying on 6 gen i will have no other option that take my hat in front of you).

I will make your hat fall in front of you :p Kidding.

I have no idea what is coming next since the current engine won't support hoenn region. There will be tons of problems later.

the engine is forever evolving, and nilllzz is actually in the process of rebuilding the engine from scratch AFAIK, also, the dev team don't have to make any more regions as their goal was not to recreate every region ever created, but to make a platform and provide the tools for others to make them and publish them on this site for others to use.

Sorry, i also tried to cover the part of:

I tried to imply it in:

I assumed you said that the original game would not allow to players to go to other regions on the original Pokemon 3D gamemode, hence locking them in Johto and Kanto forever, rendering the player unable to advance beyond that, leaving the player going back and forth from Johto to Kanto and viceversa eternally, resulting on legendaries not getting implemented in game due not being able to be on their original location and lacking space to get the remaining pokes, no story expansion, etc.

Don't worry, new locations that are exclusive to P3D will get implemented in the game, take for example Twirl Forest or the Ancient Ruins where Jirachi resides, another example is Volcanion (A gen 6 pokemon) which resides at the summit of Mt. Ember, or mew that you can obtain using a method that did not exist in the original games.
and what about having gen5 and gen 6 pokemon in a remake of gen2/4 games?

Btw, you can already experience hoenn thanks to @jianmingyong , as he created a new hoenn gamemode for P3D (still a work in progress tho), not to mention that you can play other gamemodes such as pokemon brown 3D and 1YL3D and many others, they're quite awesome.

 so there is no plan to bring the missing regions to the main game? The main page say:
you seriously believe what the main page says? it hasn't been updated for years, it still has "vade" as a developer.

Actually catching mew resembles that event on pokemon Emerald (If you ask if i spent too much time on the wiki then... i do, why do you ask?) where you travel to Faraway Island to catch it, you do not catch it on Kanto/Johto, Jirachi is not related to the main plot and does not appear in the region of Pokemon S/R/E and is obtained via event too, Volcanion is an unreleased poke not related to the region it lives

It adds Variety, also, some people likes collecting pokes.

It is not part of the vanilla gamemode, which means that i have to capture all the pokes EVERY... SINGLE... TIME... i play in a non-main (non-vanilla) gamemode (Petty much the reason i do not buy pokemon games anylonger, catching them all over again, then all over again, rinse and repeat)

If you guys are seriously not gonna implement that then please take it out, given that you have implemented so many pokemons from all the generations turns it into a deluxe bait for new players expecting to travel to other regions inside the vanilla gamemode

Since you are not taking about the point i made emphasis about, it means that you seriously expect the developement of the game to end when all the necesary pokes and zones are implemented locking the players in Johto and Kanto forever.

Currently we still plan to release further regions
we are not entirely sure how we will connect them but it can't be linear because of the level cap(100)
if we just directly connected all the regions we add eventually gym leaders would have level 100 pokemon and there would be no difference between a Gym Leader, an Elite Four, and a Champion.
So for the sake of the story the game needs to force a reset of some kind after johto/kanto
If we release an official hoenn(which we still plan to do) then it will be some how directly connected to the johto/kanto story but without allowing pokemon from one story to cross over until after a point like the hall of fame or red is reached
The reason we have not edited the front page to remove the "all regions" thing is because we still hope to do it at some point
The "how" is still being debated within the team but we have some good ideas that we can work with once we are at that point
until then just trust that once our intentions change the front page description will change

This answer is the one i expected, not because it is from Darkfire, it is because as much as i think i cannot find a way to argue back and if i get an answer that does not allow to argue back, means that by logic, agreement or force i have nothing else to say on that matter and i have to agree whether i like it or not.

Well... there is the Battle Frontier, where you can try out your skills as a trainer. Adding more buildings (like the Pyramid or the Dome) would be great :D
I think coop double battles in the frontier (and in general) would be fun as well...

What else can you do after completing the dex in the original games, anyway? Pokemon contests?

The idea would basically be removing the entire team of the player, as well as its box, and give him or her a new starter and new set of boxes, as well as making them unable to access previously acquired pokemons unless they get back to a previous region, or beat the league in the actual region he's in?
I like that idea.
