I dont have some features in my PokeGear (Bug?)

I 'm new here then I'm sorry if it was to be so, but I do not have the options : GTS , Battle Frontier or the Mini Map on my Pokégear . This is normal? Will be unlocked later in the game? (I'm logged into my GameJolt account and I'm playing in online mode ).

You unlock them trough story/NPCs you talk.

GTS from ecruteak, battle frontier after you get all badges then go to olivine, and the minimap from twirl forest which you can get to by the train from goldenrod.
