I fought Falkner and everytime I injured his Pidgeotto too much he just used a Super Potion, and he only stopped when I was out of potions myslef, and he wiped out my team due to my attacks missing because of Mud Slap and Sand Attack. Can you make it where he only uses one or two rather than a seemingly endless amount?

I think the potion usage is random. Maybe level your team a bit then try facing him again? Try about 13-16 for 3+ pokemon. Or use rock types.

He does use a lot of potions but aslong as you have a high enough leveled pokemon he's real easy to beat.
Geodude lvl 11 would prob be best to use as he learns rock throw.

Is there a scripted limit to how many items a trainer has? It is hard-coded in the games that a trainer can't have more than 4 items. If the gym leaders were to use infinite items, it would make defensive Pokémon completely unplayable.

I couldn't win before fighting against him with lvl22 pokemon.
I literally washed the second arena away as in I never had to go to a pokecenter or use a single potion.
It was just falkner who was using a potion every 2nd attack (the other attack was sandstorm).

Ooh, that's bad luck. Which poke did you use? I went with a lvl11-12~ (can't recall) geodude and rock-throw'd the flyers into the pokecentre :)

I think Falkner's frail 'mons can be done in with Rock Throw, Bugsy's Scyther is x4 weak to it, but imagine how much infinite potions would affect Whitney - Without factoring in natures, EVs and IVs, you'd need a level 34 Machoke to even have a minimal chance to OHKO with Karate Chop - when she uses Moomoo Milk, this is absolutely ridiculous.

Just use geodude or onix, I KO'd his pidgeotto with my rattata (It's in the top percentage of all rattata)
