I whant to create a texture pack for this game, but i don't know how to change the .xnb to an image file, like PNG or something, and then to change it back.
Since the ContentPack folder is out, i can make a texture pack of my own.

This will convert .xnb--->.png
http://www.terrariaonline.com/threads/xnb-exporter-extract-graphics-from-terraria.16058/
(just put the converter in the file with the xnb's that need conversion and you can convert them!)

and then download this:
http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/eng/downloads
(Find Visual C# 2010 Express and download that if you don't already have it)

and this:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=23714

and this:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=20914

Then download the file attached. It will let you convert .png---->.xnb
(you don't need this in a specific file and i dont remember where i got this file and i dont care, i'm tired so i'm hurrying through this)

just use xna game studio to convert things to xnb, its way easier. make a blank windows xna game in visual c# after you have that and xna game studio, drag then pngs into the content project, compile the project and you'll get all your xnbs
