Offline Mode Server?

Me and my friend have offline accounts that we both want to play on, is there any way for us to make a server that allows us to use it? I've noticed that there's an offline mode on properties.dat. I've tried to change the number but it doesn't seem to work. Thanks in advance! ^.^

You need a server client and have done a port forward to do so. We do have servers that support offline players but they are offline right now as they are busy or needed some rest.

Did you make a server? can you see it as "online" on your servers list?, does it say that only gamejolt accounts are allowed on the server when you try to join?

Yes I did :3. I could only access it with Gamejolt.
