Starting Trainer
Hi guys!
Forgive my lack of english (i'm trying really hard ><!) but my idea is inspired by the pokemon manga.
I think it could be a great idea that, on the startup, you can choose between the "usual" start (you know, with Oak on that intro about pokemon stuffs and then giong to Elm to receive your first pokemon) or the "custom" start (not sure about "custom" is the right word ><!), so you can answer a questionary about your idea of pokemons, your intention, etc. You know, like to create a "trainer profile" and according to that you can start with some pokemon of that type. Let me give you an example:
You are a rude guy, a very rude one, and you think pokemon are battling machines, so you want to become the stronger guy, so it's better for you, start with a fighter pokemon (I don't know, nothing ultra rare, a machop, would be a nice option, or a rattata with 1 more ATK over the average). My idea is to have a big "pool" of choices (with some ratio of random, so, even when you answer twice, with the exact answer, you can get slightly differents pokemons (maybe stats with difference of 1 or 2) or differents pokemons), so you have the feel that you never have the exact startup on every single game (and of course, since this is the most important pokemon to you, you can't trade this friend, so you can't abuse of starting new games and having several different pokemons on your startup).
I know this can be difficult, because depend of the complexity of the questionary, the possibilities of pokemons to get and a long list of etc. but I really love when I started to read the Gold/Silver saga on pokemon's manga and saw Gold starting, not with Cyndaquil but with Aipom instead (and then receiving cyndaquil, as usual) and that pokemon was his loyal partner along all the saga =P
Of course, is just the idea, and all the community can help with question/answer, new ideas, etc. Just in case the people think this can be possible done and would be a nice addition to the game =3
