Not a bug poison sting always inflicts poison???

weedels are killing me because im always poisoned on the first two turns, is it a bug or is poison sting suposed to always poison, first two because sometimes it uses stringshot first turn..........

It is supposed to have a 30% chance. Either the weedels are really lucky, they're really effective against your pokemon, or this is actually a move type bug.

That happened to me too near the beginning of the game. I had a very long streak of being poisoned by Poison Sting. And then I had a very long streak of not being poisoned by Poison Stings. It's more likely luck than a bug.

I think it just has to do with the level of your pokemon. Because it happened to me when I first started out, but now I hardly ever get poisoned.

I never had any problem with weedels or poisen sting.
