Ideas for certain times of the year in game, like holidays.

Would it be cool if, during holidays, that npcs and Pokemon were wearing the holiday attire? Like for example, npcs are dressed up like santas, elves, ms. Clause, and Pokemon with a santa hat, holly, ribbons, or antlers? Trainers would be elves, and non trainers would be santa or ms clause. Important storyline people probably wouldn't wear anything or may just wear a santa hat. During Halloween would be npcs that are ghosts or skeletons of their normal selves or maybe wearing costumes and the Pokemon would be pale and ghostly looking and maybe have a wisp coming off them like the slenderman in lavender town. Important storyline people would be wearing dracula capes or something. Interesting ideas but probably be narrowed down to be more simple, such as all ghosts for Pokemon and skeletons for people, and Christmas elf people instead of normal people. Pokemon would wear antlers or holly. Easter would be rabbits instead of people and Pokemon would either be eggs with the Pokemon's head/face sticking out of it or wear bunny ears.

for that to happen we need to edit almost every single sprite (12 frames per sprite), that's an immense amount of work to be done and no one has time for that and only a handful of people can actually do that.

Oh my, even if it was as simple as turning all npc people into looking exactly the same? Like all rabbits, all elves, all skeletons/ghosts, etc? And it be only temporary like the content packs? (i.e. the original coding is still there) Didn't think it would've been much more work as pixelating everything in game for April Fool's day. ^^;

That would be an idea too! Or even make easter egg colored Pokemon eggs! And for. Christmas, wrapped in a ribbon! And for Halloween, something scary temporarily added, like for Halloween, something terrifying pops up on the main screen or scary graphics in Lavender Town.

Yeah, it's another reason why I temporarily changed the day, the april fool effects in game made it bright, pixelated, and hard to navigate because everything blended in. Needs to be different colors for different things too, to stand out better. XD

Yep, I think that was a good idea when he mentioned it, was just thinking of a visual effect to go along with it too, maybe something more subtle yet visual too, like easter egg colored Pokemon eggs. They hatch faster too.

Maybe a special quest that ends with you battling a trainer (maybe dressed as the Easter bunny) who uses bunny pokemon (Lopunny, Bunnelby, Plusle, etc.) and gives you a pokemon egg upon defeat for an Easter event in future years? Or maybe an egg hunt where you talk to certain NPCs that give you hints leading to the next, ending in obtaining an egg with a bunny pokemon in it? Or maybe a combination of the two where you have to hunt down a pokemon in a new area (not unlike the Twirl Forest, Berry Forest, and Mirage Island quests) and in the end battle a bunny pokemon that gives you an egg of its evolutionary line for defeating it? Maybe just something like one of the 3 daycares just gives you an egg when you talk to them (like how the odd egg is given out)? Just some ideals I had, not sure how doable any of that would be but they seemed like some plausible suggestions for an Easter event. Happy Easter!

Sound like all good ideas! But like you said, it may not be doable in a shorter period of time so they may make it more subtle like the daycare giving an egg that would hatch into a bunny Pokemon like Buneary or a chick Pokemon like Torchic. However I definitely like your ideas and if they narrowed it down to be more simple to do such as adding a Lopunny boss Pokemon (like Scizor in Twirl Forest) and code it to where you only battle it around Easter would be a great plan. All they'd have to do is add new text and code to where it's only for Easter. The event would start at the daycare south of Cerulean City (to save up on editing the other daycare maps for Easter) The girl says she saw a Lopunny carrying a basket of eggs past Cerulean City and headed West past Mt. Moon and Pewter City. Keep searching and eventually you find the Lopunny in Viridian Forest. Battle Lopunny to get an Easter Egg (special sprite) that hatches into a Buneary, Bunnelby, Torchic, Psyduck, etc. In addition, eggs from the daycare hatch quicker. Also for Christmas, something similar but it's a Delibird with a random rare item as a gift if you beat him. He appears in the ice cave between Mahogany and Blackthorn City during Christmas season and a person in Mahogany town tells you about the Delibird flying about giving gifts. Naturally you'll be unable to catch Delibird and Lopunny as using any ball, even a masterball, will come up with an error message preventing you from throwing the ball, as it would if you tried to catch a trainer's Pokemon so basically your trainer refuses to catch them due to their job.
