Solved Player always a boy?

Status

Describe the bug you experienced here.

What I expected to happen:
Created a character and assumed it would be the gender of the character I chose. I chose Rosa.

What actually happened:
People in game are calling my character "sir". I looked in player.dat file and it says my character is a male. I typed female instead. Played the game, and seems no matter what, my character is always referred to as a boy and even the player.dat file says I'm a boy again no matter how many times I edit it. Any fix to get it to where it calls my character the right gender? Always being a boy even with a girl character doesn't make sense.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Created my character as Rosa's sprite and even named my character a girl's name.
2. No matter how many times I deleted and recreated a profile, and edited the player file, it always called my player a boy.
Don't know how to fix.

We haven't added that functionality yet.....
currently it is a rather low priority but we will get to it eventually :p

Ahh I see, that explains it. At least it wasn't a glitch like I thought. And by any chance will the text still be editable in the future updates so I could fix it later? I know editing the text would be considered cheating by the staff and they plan to lock down and disable editing of the text, in the future but it would be easier to do it this way than to recreate my player. Besides that I don't play online (internet is dead on our pc) so I transferred downloads to the pc via my Android tablet. Should be a way to disable recoded Pokemon etc. from being used only online so it's fair, and let them only be used in game for personal use. Just a general thought.

offline saves will stay as they are
we want people to be able to do ANYTHING they want to with our game
think of the main pokemon 3D exe as a game ENGINE more than a game itself(ofc we include a default game too ;))
We want people to have fun with the full freedom it offers whether that is to cheat and hack in pokemon or to make new games of their own
Online saves are where you can go for "legitimate" play and things like trading and competative battling/ranking with other people(which is where any safety protections will go)

Awesome, and this is a reason why it's better than the official games, because it has more freedom but is still fair to online players. I like the idea of starting off with a Pokemon other than the starters as well, and walking with your favorite Pokemon first thing instead of having to play all through the game to get it. The game lets players customize their world to their own personal preferences and are not strict like the official game companies are, where they encrypt everything and make it hard to mod. This takes away the freedom, but it is understandable to have safety codes to prevent modded material from being used online. Offline mode freedom is a must to attract more players, and this is why I love this game much more than the officials! Thanks for all your hard work! Also, since this wasn't a bug after all, feel free to close the thread.
