Solved [Indev 0.53] Cannot Load Internet through Launcher

Describe the bug you experienced here (This is only for bugs with the launcher or server software. Report bugs with the game in the main bugs forum here)

What I expected to happen:
I was forced to download the needed game files, all the latest ones on the download section, using my Android tablet, as our pc no longer can recognize our wireless router and we can't fix it even though the pc itself still works. I transferred all the needed files to the pc via usb cable, extracted the zipped files folder, and opened the launcher expecting it to work.

What actually happened:
The launcher opened the window but it said I cannot connect to the interwebs and could not load the news. At the bottom said sad launcher is sad. I'm new to this game and really wanna play but the launcher can't open and I assume it's because our pc can no longer access the internet even though our mobile devices can.We cannot afford a new pc, so does this mean I cannot play the game or is there a way around this so I an play? I downloaded all of the needed files, latest ones, from the downloads page, server, files, launcher, and even have both needed frameworks and transferred them to the pc with the usb cable, so I don't see what the problem is other than that the pc cannot use the internet anymore. Saddened that I can't play, I was forced to delete the game. Someone help?.....I can't send images of the problem because I'm on Android tablet.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Downloaded files on the Android tablet.
2. Transferred the files to the pc using usb cable.
...

You can still play without internet. As long as you have the gamefiles that is beside the launcher, you can click on the start button.

Due to the error that claims I can't connect to the interwebs, the start game button is pale and doesn't let me click on the game to start it. The download latest files doesn't let me click either. Even though I had downloaded the latest stuff on site anyway. Any ways I can get the game to let me play? The only info I can give is I downloaded all of the latest version of the files, server, launcher, and placed them all next to each other in the downloads folder. I also had the Microsoft framework files downloaded. I opened the launcher and it says I cannot connect to the interwebs, and in the middle says news couldn't be loaded, and bottom says sad launcher is sad. The start game button doesn't let me click on it.

You might want to place them somewhere else other than the download folder. The game launcher cannot find the gamefile so... it is not clickable.

The game files need to be within a folder called "Pokemon", which has to be in the same directory as the Pokémon3D.exe (the launcher).
Inside this "Pokemon" folder, there must be the folders "maps", "Scripts", "Content" and the files "Pokemon.exe", "meta" and "credits.txt".

If you have done this and start the launcher, the Start Game button should light up.

I double checked the downloads section and it turns out I was missing one of the net framework files, but I already had the other needed ones on the pc already so I didn't download any of those at first. So I transferred the needed one to the pc, but the pc fails to download it due to the lack of internet. It will no longer connect and we cannot fix it. I don't think there is a way to install it via my mobile device to the pc either.

What operating system are you using?
It's Windows Vista on a compaq presario sr2180nx. Our router works so our Android devices also work, but the pc can no longer read the router and we tried everything and it doesn't connect it back to the internet. I thought I had all of the franework files on the pc already but turns out I didn't have them all and the pc won't install the remaining ones because of the lack of internet connection. The ones I had already on the pc were downloaded before the pc internet went out a few months ago.

Which ones are you missing, XNA or .Net 4?
I have the xnafx40_redist.msi and dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64 (net framework 4) on the pc already installed. I thought I had the dotNetFx45_Full_setup and dotNetFx45_Full_setup-1 already on the pc but I didn't. It won't let me install them.

I don't know if you are referring to the web installer, which is just a wrapper to download data from a server.
Above, I linked the full installer which you should be able to download and then transfer over to your Vista computer.
I didn't know there was an offline installer, yeah it turns out I was using the online installer, the small package used to try downloading the files through the internet. Thank you for that link, and hopefully that's the only one I need now.

Problem solved and the game now works. I placed the Pokemon0.53 folder on the desktop screen and the launcher and server files inside next to the Pokemon folder and the offline installer for the frameworks I needed worked. Thanks for the help!
