Confirmed [Indev 0.53] Standing on Water Following Wild Encounter

Arthur117

Trainer
Encountering a wild pokémon while trying to get back to shore on the last tile results in the player to stand on the last water tile.

What I expected to happen:
To be still surfing.

What actually happened:
Player ends up on water, unable to move, except for in the direction of land.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Surf on any body of water where random encounters can happen
2. Head for shore or any place where you can normally get to land
3. Encounter a wild pokemon on the tile before the shore, whilst still moving towards the shore

Additional information:
This doesn't seem to happen if you let go of the move button before you land on the tile. In the same aspect, you can start turning in 1st person mode when encountering a wild pokémon, then see the turn finish after the battle ends. I think the problem is the game accepting movement input when landing on a tile, before the random encounter actually starts.

Besides the god-like ability the player seems to receive for just a moment, this has no other effect on the game. You can still move towards the shore and continue walking. Trying to move in any other direction will not work and make the "bump" sound, but you are able to press the action button for the surf dialog to continue surfing:
