Yes, I'm translating. What don't you understand? On some lines in the file "token_en.dat", there is this symbol: "~". I just want to know what I should do with that...

Those are needed for creating new lines or changing it to for example your name in-game. DO NOT REMOVE THOSE!

Yes, I've figured it out! But the real question is if it's relevant the number of words before and after the "~"... I wait for your answer!

Ps. You should write the use of this symbol on the first post, for who approaches to translate the tokens in other languages!

It is not implemented in the game yet.

EDIT: I saw that the tomorrow update should implement new languages. I was wondering, if I finish translating within tonight, the Italian language can be implemented with the same update?

Thank you for the reply. You think it's a good idea to play the original version in a emulator for copy the text exactly from the original? I can translate by hand, but I'm so stickler! ahahah

i have a spanish translation i was going to use for spanish if no one did it for me, but if there are official italian translations of pokemon silver or gold, go for it. just run that in an emulator if you are having trouble getting to some line you need there are ways to hack the rom, very very easily in fact. theres 2 programs for it, Gold Map and JohtoMap, i used johto map because thats what splint uses and he was able to help me with it. i used it to get all the english strings for azalea gym and route 34. i gave ymself a level 100 lugia and changed the player room map to have warp points i could override to go to other warp points in the game, and you can move the warps around to get to any spot.

if you want to go through and do that, thank you. it's a tedious job so if you want to do it go right ahead lol.

probably not, mate. but if you maintain the italian translation we will gladly distribute it with the game. friday would be earliest time for it to be included. so take your time, no rush

the tokens file is going to change a little, not a big change, nils just added the ability to add comments to the file that dont get loaded by the game. here is the latest one

there is a new token, language description, this is the friendly name of your language. for english
language_name,English
for german
language_name,Deutsch

this is what will display in the languages menu

also he added tokens for stat names, pokemon names etc which i didnt want to localize at the time. lots of new tokens

i'll upload the german and english files to the repo. and yes, that means we dont need german, if people were doing that.

these files are going to go into /content/localization/ instead of /localization/ btw
