i can't find a shiny for nothing but an npc can??? lol
you know how there is a 1/8192 chance of finding a shiny in the wild? there's another 1/8192 chance of battling trainers with shiny pokemon, so..you got super lucky and super unlucky at the same time.

The only wild shiny I have encountered in pokeman 3D is a tentacool

Basically, what fanta is saying, is that like wild pokemon, trainers can have shinies, as there is no shiny check for these pokemon. Unlike the official games, where trainers do have a shiny check applied. It has also been know that the Pokemon in the intro (when the Professor is adressing you) can be shiny. An example of this is:
(Pissed level: Infinite x million)
So in Pokemon 3D, you'd be pretty unlucky to have this happen, but you'll eventually find one. Pika's first was an Unown in Pearl... next was a Wobbufett... then an Abra, all in PrPearl. After that, Pika has gotten a heap more, but they were significantly easier.
