When you release a pokemon, how about they can be found in the wild, but once (As in if it's caught or been defeated it will not be found anymore) and only by the trainer that released it. But this will only happen if you released it whilst the friendship is still really low.

Expanding on this, I reckon it would be kind of cool if when you released a high happiness pokemon, it would be really happy to see you again, so when you encounter it again it has the starry effect like N's pokemon in B2W2.

This'd be cool. But where would you find them? The closest route to the town you released them in? Wherever you find them naturally?

Or, the pokemon could have been like "I loved my last trainer, maybe this time I will get stronger and show him/her!" And the pokemon will have new moves or better stats, from when you released it.

They would follow you around, until you beat them or re-capture them, because they want revenge :3.
I like this idea. I'll set them all free so I could have an a massive group following me. :p
Like a conga line, or the line at a Macca's of a weekend. (Yes I am Aussie, what an awesome life)

Wouldn't that end up increasing framerate a bit? Imagine 20+ pokemon following you about. You'd basically be carrying a town with you everywhere (NPC population-wise...).

I mean only a few events at a time and special pokemon like shinies and legendaries.

So only the shiny or legendaries would end up following if you released? I'd kinda feel annoyed if some poke I'd had for most of my journey (say 5 badges) up and left without trying to find me again. Maybe it could be friendship based, with poke being more likely to follow you about the higher their friendship? And more likely to ambush and attack you, possibly with random wild's of the route, if you had low friendship?
Then we'd have a point to friendship stats besides moves like Return and Frustration...

Yeah, maybe there should be a few events like becoming developer or gaining certain titles

Your use of the word ambush just gave me an idea if Dual Battling was implemented, if you released two or more pokemon, two of the pokemon could team up and fight you in the wild o3o.

I really like this idea alot. xD. Also Have it depend on their nature on where they appear and how they attack yea. Like the eager and hotheaded ones would attack yea right outside of town. The claim ones would attack you much later. While the snickey ones will attack you after you battle a trainer.
