How do you set up your Pokemon team?

I generally use Pokemon that could be considered derpy. Like Dunsparce as an example.

So what kind of Pokemon do you look for in your team? Could you give an example? Due to this game being set in the Gold/Silver/Crystal games try to include only gen 1, and 2 Pokemon only.

I usually like one-type teams (like Gym Leaders or Elite Fours), but with a mixture so that there can be more of a balance and I'm not at a total disadvantage. I usually choose Pokemon that I have a connection with, or are just a part of my favorites list.

Since this is a remake of G/S/C in a way, maybe only choose Pokemon from Gen 1 and 2?

That is a good idea for gen 1/2 Pokemon only. I will edit the post to include that.

I tend to use different Pokemon every time.
So far I have Squirtle and Zubat, I am going to add a Rock-type, Sunflora, and Girafarig for a special attacker.
I just get a lot of variety really, like Gold.
