Is catching Farfetch'd even possible?

I'm pretty sure I've spent like 40 minutes trying to and I went on here to check it out and I found out that you can't get to Goldenrod City yet so I thought maybe this is the end of this patch or it might just be me being stupid.

Yes it is possible, but you have to talk to the Farfetch'd from different sides, it was very difficult for me

Ilex Forest is indeed the end, but Farfetch'd can be caught. You just have to keep talking to him from the left and lead him back to his trainer.

Yes, you can spawn one in by changing your save files. I've changed my files so much XD. gave myself all the legendaries o3o.
