Lost Pokemon?

Has anyone ever lost any pokemon through data corruption, dead battery, someone deleting you save? I have lost a fair few, but the two I miss the most are my Inferno (Infernape) and Spirit (Gardevoir). I lost Inferno because my brother got jealous and questioned how I could train it so quickly (no cheats what so ever). I lost Spirit when my Sapphire's battery died. I cried for a long time. );

Thanks, unfortunately I will never get Inferno back. He was my first ever Lvl 100.

I've had multiple losses like Shinies and so on but the worst was losing my diamond save with 99% legit pokedex completion and multiple lvl 100s had 600 hours on it, also my Platinum and Soul Silver got stolen along with all my pokemon stored on my Wii's Ranch ='[ I've had to start from scratch plenty of times.
