Just wanted to throw a few things out that came to my mind
Donation
Will I be able to donate via sms in the future?
Since that's the way I usually donate money.
How close will this game try to be to the original? Are you just going to transfer the Gameboy version to the PC or are you taking some steps aside from the road like we've seen in Games like Super Pokemon Eevee
Minimap.
Could we add a minimap to ease players into the game? I have played through every game till crystal completely and wasted several hours with later editions and it was still hard for me at some points to find the right path.
Tweak to the difficulty.
The lvl of your enemies pokemon at your first encounter isn't 5 any longer but yourpokemonlevel-1 or even equal to your pokemons level
I always thought of this fight as a huge letdown after the red&blue fight lvl5 vs lvl5 which was a nailbiter if you hdidn't pick up the potion earlier .
Option to up the game speed.
This game seems to stick to the original which was an awful, awful, awful timewaster in terms of moving from X to Y or even training your pokemon (crystal edition kinda fixed this though by having slightly higher spawning rates).
No Animation.
When I click the option "no animation" I want no animation.
Yes, the intro gives me a nice lookaround and the animations are well done but I got sick of them after realizing that intro&outro were longer than the actual battle.
New characters.
The original series TRIED to implement some kind of quests or objectives like bringing letters to people.
Why stop there?
- Achievements not only show up somewhere as achieved but can also unlock rare items or give you hints where and how to catch difficult pokemon.
- Some people want to see something (special pokemon, items, arena badges, your mothers phone number) and give you stat enhancers for your pokemon in exchange or offer other services (not that kind of service, get your mind out of the gutter).
- more achievements overall
Text Speed
Pretty much self explanatory. Some things I want to read, some things I don't.
An option to raise the text speed would be nice. Alternatively show all the text at once when I leftclick.
Speed 3 doesn't cut it for me
Mom
There are two rooms in the house. One of them is the characters bedroom.
Your mother sleeps in the kitchen.
Pretty unimportant sidenote but an extra floor or room for her would be nice.
New Game
We've seen it in several games, the early one to implement this I can remember would be Advancewars.
After you completed your journey you are allowed to replay it with higher difficulty and several options added.
Level cap
Maybe for the new game (see above), maybe for everyone. Lvl100 always felt kinda weak.
In the original it was fun to grind your way up there but even at a young age I without any knowledge about the several small extras the game had I reached my pokemons maximum with ease after I won against the Elite Four and it only got easier in later editions.
Lvl999? Difficulty spikes when a pokemon reaches a certain level? New areas to explore?
Eastereggs
When we were young we thought pressing B really hard would keep the pokemon in the ball.
Or pressing B repeatedly
Or tweaking your gameboy
Or summoning a spawn of satan by drowning a virgin in goat blood.
Why not make our childhood reality?
Only to a certain extend of course, like raising the chance by 0,5 to 1% (absolute value).
Eastereggs2
More hidden items.
I always wandered around in red and blue "seeing" spots were hidden items were to be found even without the detector. In the end I found all of them except for two.
But I looked for them far more often then I was successful.
There is a lot of unused space in this game, it can easily be filled up with this and it would make the detector useful for once.
Bring me to the horizon
Block the view at a certain distance if it's not possible to walk to that point.. I often found myself walking in a certain direction because I thought there was an entrance/exit only to end up running into trees and feeling stupid.
Saves
Autosaves. nuff said.
Scrolling
Holding down A,W,S,D, up or down should do something. Clicking through the list can be enervating at some points. If I want to turn the music down for example.
I didn't know about the mousewheel option and to me it isn't the most obvious thing as far as I'm concerned.
Mousewheel
Toggle your view by using the scrollwheel
Action Delay
I just healed my pokemon.
I don't want to heal them again.
Please stop talking.
Even a 0,5 second delay would prevent this from happening far too often without any backlash (why would I even want to talk to the same person more than once?)
Music
When passing the music used to fade out before changing.
Would be a lovely extra.
Battlemusic
I turned the music down. The music is supposed to be turned down.
The music playing when I win is still the same volume as usual.
Option to disable autopause
"are you sure" if you click "quit to menu"
Scrolling
When I'm on top of a list and click up or W I should find myself at the bottom and vice versa
I especially want to point out the donation part.I'm a bit old fashioned and use neither online banking nor paypal so extra donation options would be nice.If it isn't neccessary because there are only very little people that donate than it can be implemented later.Or if someone has an idea of how I could throw some money at the developers with neither paypal nor ob feel free to tell me
Also a ref link would be nice. Someone said in some achievement suggestion thread that people like easy achievements because the... I only know the german word for it "Belohnungstrieb"... maybe the drive to get rewarded... whatever it's called, it works.
Also people would be animated to put the link to the game in their signatures in other forums.
I'll come back if I find something else :]
Sincerely
Psyman2
